Have you visited the Fontbouillant gallery?

The origins of the Moulin de Fontbouillant date back to the middle ages. In the 18th century, the mill was bought by the adjacent chateau. The mill was once a Camembert and butter dairy, and was well known for its high quality products. In preparation for the renovation, several dairy labels were found along with awards for exceptional cheese.

The turbine is the heart of the Moulin, and is still in place. In conjunction with the Water and Wind Mill Association (of which we are a member), we intend to return it to working condition. Restoring the heart of Fontbouillant is a challenge that requires research, patience, and careful teamwork.

On the ecological front, the restored mill turbine will offer interesting opportunities including generating our own electricity. It is an example of our "Fontbouillantaise" philosophy — restoring our past by integrating it into our future.
